highline 179 - Longest suspension bridge in the world in Tibet Style

Anyone who was recently on the B179 near Reutte surely noticed: At a dizzying height, a suspension bridge with a length of 406 m and a height of 114 m spans the valley and thus connects the Ehrenberg ruin with Fort Claudia. The pedestrian suspension bridge is named “highline179”. The airy crossing of the Fernpass road B179, which is well known far beyond the borders of Tyrol, is intended to be expressed with this name. Since November 2014, brave visitors have been able to take the opportunity to test their fear of heights on the highline179. Walking time to the bridge approx. 15 min. or with the new inclined elevator in 3 min. to the bridge entrance.

For all those for whom the mere sight of the bridge is enough, the Landgasthof Klause is available for refreshments in the Klause area. In addition, you can visit the Museum of the Ehrenberg Castle World or the new natural exhibition - The Last Wild - . You can find more information about the history and significance of the Ehrenberg Castle World, the museum and the nature exhibition at Ehrenberg Ruin.
