Summer

Hiking
The nature park region Reutte is ideal for all vacationers who want to spend time in the fresh air. It is the small-scale alternation of mountains and valleys, streams and lakes, meadows and forests that make this region so unique. Every season has its own appeal and hiking on our hiking trails that span over 400 km is always beautiful.

Whether you're top fit and want to climb some peaks, are looking to stay in a lodge not that far up, or just want to have some leisurely strolls – our variety of landscape here provides the right choice for everyone.

Lakes (swimming)
Our lakes are known for their exceptional water quality and they always attract people to swim, dive, sail, surf or fish.

Plansee and Heiterwang Lake
A paradise not only for sailors and surfers, but also for swimmers and fishers. An excursion with the „Heiterwanger- und Planseeschifffahrt“ ship is also an experience that you won't forget!

Urisee
The Urisee, that is very popular with the native people, is situated very idyllically in a basin. During a mountain tour to the Dürrenberger Alm or after a hot summer day, they like to cool down in the clear water.

Frauensee
For romantic people, the somewhat hidden and mysterious Frauensee is exactly right! It is however, also the starting point for many hiking tours, like the one over the Hahle to the Musauer Alm.

Cycling/biking
Challenging bike trails or leisurely cycling tours for the whole family, serve to be fantastic nature experiences.

Nordic Walking
There is the Nordic Walking Park of the nature park region Reutte with 9 routes for your fitness. Nature is the sports equipment of the future – sustainable training for the whole body. Stretching exercises, power exercises and various Nordic-Walking-techniques can be conducted with special walking poles made of carbon fibre.

By doing Nordic Walking properly, the fitness improves and the circulatory system as well as the weight can be reduced.

Even the upper body can be strengthened with the proper use of the walking poles. Joints are unburdened and the flexibility of the shoulder and neck area improves.
The entrance to the Nordic Walking Park is situated right next to the hotel Goldene Rose.

The Lechweg
Light hiking through an alpine region that at the same time represents the last wild river landscape in Europe: The Lechweg has primordial nature, authentic hosts, and legendary stories. On more than 120 kilometres, the wanderer can follow the Lech from its spring near the Formarin Lake in the Austrian Vorarlberg, down to the Lechfall in Füssen in the Allgäu. It connects three regions and two countries with their traditions and history. From Vorarlberg over the Tyrolean Lech Valley down to the Bavarian Allgäu – all three of them have been defined throughout the centuries by the Lech. And the Lechweg will continue to do that beyond the borders of Austria and Germany, as it is the model project of a European quality seal for long-distance hiking trails.

Golf
There are 5 golf courses in the vicinity of 50 km in Tyrol and Allgäu, where golf sports enthusiasts can find the best conditions. The closest 18-hole golf course Lechbruck am See (20 min.) provides beautiful views on the idyllic foothills of the Alps with its lakes and castles. The sportive 9-hole course Tiroler Zugspitze (25 min.) enchants you with its unforgettable mountain panorama at the foothills of the Zugspitze.
